Buffy:Dopplegangland and Beyond

So, B-Mart asked me to write about Dopplegangland after I finished watching it. Well, I generally like to keep my promises, so here goes.

I absolutely LOVED this episode. It is one of my favorites so far. I think VampWillow rocks. She is so bad ass and the leather is a good look for her. Hee. I especially loved the tinge of lesbianism going on with VampWillow; it's a hint of things to come. I also liked how everyone, except Angel, tries to rationalize that VampWillow shares no common traits with RealWillow. And I cracked up when Angel says, "Well, actually.." And then gets the STFU look. Hee. Also, loving how Xander thinks it's rad that he is a bad ass vamp in the other world.

Still hating Faith though. Hating that she tried to turn Angel back into Angelus. I just can't stand her. I hope Faith bites it when the mayor tries to acsend. I say tries to because we all know that Buffy and the Scooby gang are going to stop him. And then Angel leaves. Sniff.

Anyway, I am now getting ready to watch Graduation Parts 1 and 2. I will probably watch them tomorrow night so I can start season 4 this weekend. Soon, B-Mart, I will know all that you know about Buffy. Grasshopper is learning, Master.

New Equipment

Now, I know I have talked a great deal about television recently but I feel the need to talk about the gym for a post every now and then.

After being away for a week, I go to the gym and find all new equipment. I have to admit that I fear change at the gym. I have a routine and I like it. I had a trainer and she left town and I didn't like that. She was really the only person I talked to at the gym. But, I digress, anyway there were these new weight machines. I decided to overcome my skepticism and check them out. They totally rule. These machines are much smoother; I can lift an extra 10 pounds on my leg extensions with the new machines. Even cooler is the new hip adductor machine. This new piece is much easier to use and climb in and out of.

Anyway, my ass needed to hit the gym after all the food I ate last week. So, now I am getting back on my four nights at the gym and one night of racquetball. That should shed a couple of pounds before my NYC trip.

Alias is over

Well, all those who love Alias knew this day would come. Honestly, I am not sure I am so sad to see the end of Alias. I mean, while I love the show; the plot points have been weak and the with all the new faces it doesn't really seems like the same old Alias.

So, Alias, I will bid you a fond farewell. Mostly, I will miss Erin's snarky commentary on the show. And Spy Daddy. Where will I get my Victor Garber fix?

He's Slippin' 'Em Bread....Dig?

For the second week in a row I was home on Tuesday night. Alas, due to multiple phone calls and packing I did not watch Gilmore Girls in real time but I did tivo the epi and so you get a breakdown.

The Great:

I really liked all the reuniony things with Lorelai and Rory. I am so happy they made up.

Sebastian Bach tackled Zach. Hee! Hee!

Brian wrote a song for Lane. Aww.

The Good:

Christopher is paying for Yale. Now, don't get me wrong...I hate Christopher but I do think it's time he did one fatherly thing for Rory in her life. You know, besides the cotillion thing.

Luke told Liz about the kid. It's good he told someone. Maybe he should try telling his fiancee.

Sookie was pretty funny this episode. I like Sookie much better when they don't write her all retarded.

Liz. I just have to say that I love the Liz character, especially when she comes sans T.J.

Things that weren't bad per se but mehish and bugged me:

Zach. I don't care how jealous you are; you DO NOT screw up your bands first chance at an actual record deal. You do not act like an ass; get all prima donna and then dump your super cool girlfriend. Why have the Palladinos made me hate Zach?

Paris. Okay, did anyone else get the memo? Because when did Paris become Rory's best friend? And where was I when this happened?

Logan. Obviously, he's going no where. Personally, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt here on the breaking up thing. I mean, I don't really like him but he's never really had a girlfriend before.

The hate:

Shut up, Christopher*. Gah!

*In other news, I read that they are trying to give Christopher a bigger role on the show and all I have to say about that is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! If Luke and Lorelai do not end up together at the end of this show, heads will roll.

Howdy Doody

So, last night I watched what some call "The Trilogy" of Gilmore Girls episodes with Robyn. The trilogy contains Luke Can See Her Face; Last Week Fights, This Week Tights; and Raincoats and Recipes. It's kind of fun to watch Gilmore Girls with someone who doesn't really know what it going to happen. She didn't know about the icky Rory/Dean hookup; as I sit there with my head down willing it to not happen. I have to say her anger at the abrupt ending of season four mirrored my own. So, that was a bit of a relief.

I think next time she might watch some Buffy with me. I think she likes that I have no clue what is going to happen next. As a side note, B-Mart, the next episode I get to watch is Dopplegangland so I basically ignored that whole post you wrote because I don't want to be spoiled. I have to say though, that I really never liked Faith at all. In fact, from the moment she called Buffy, "B", I was out. Not impressed one little bit by her. Anyway, I am interested to see what the end of season three will bring.

Hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving.
