This merger could be bad news

As Beth alluded to earlier this week, The WB and UPN are merging. Look, I am not worried about Gilmore Girls. The network would be FOOLS to get rid of the most watched show on The WB. I am in a state of nerves about Everwood. My favorite show is already getting bumped for fucking Beauty and the Geek 2 and I can just see Everwood getting lost in the shuffle. This would be SUPER BAD news and seriously, it might even make me cry. I mean, I cry just abour every time I watch the show as it is.

I know. It's totally stupid, right. I mean, it's a television show for goodness sake. And yet, I don't want to see it go anywhere, especially with no word on the release of Seasons 2 and 3 on dvd. So, I make my plea....For the love of all that is sacred and holy and right in this crazy world, DO NOT CANCEL EVERWOOD.

There are a couple of articles out there that give me some hope like this one from Zap2it and this one from MSNBC but I am still concerned and will remain so until I see a real plan from CW.

So one more time, please don't take away Treat and his beard, Bright and his hotness, Patch and his Patchness, Amy and her hair of happiness, or Ephram and his piano.

So, so busy

I get the feeling that life is going to be too busy to blog on a regular basis. For that I sincerely apologize. For now I have this...

I want this shirt.

Hope you are having a fab day!

Shut up, Santino

Yes, I know that Lost was new last night and that we got Mr. Eko's back story and that he looks even hotter without the beard but what I want to talk about is Project Runway.

I became a Project Runway addict last year when Bravo had one of their many marathon showings of this delightful reality show. I have to say I'm hooked. Just hearing the name Wendy Pepper makes me laugh devilishly and think of nut jobs. The second season has been very good too. I am loving me some Chloe and Daniel V. (tho, is the V. necessary anymore since Daniel F. is gone?). Daniel V. is yummy and he makes such nice clothes. Santino, who is very talented, is my Wendy Pepper this season. He annoys the shit out of me. I mean, what is up with the pirate hair? And the seriously abrasive attitude on the runway? Just not professional at all. I thought Michael Kors was going to freak on him last night when he said more women know Banana Republic than Michael Kors. Well, that is true but you don't say that when he is judging you and can kick your ass and, more importantly, Nick's ass off the show. For a split second I thought he was going to get Nick kicked out and I got mad because in my mind the perfect final three are Nick, Chloe, and Daniel V. I would be hard pressed to pick a winner between those three choices. Anyway, back to my Santino rant...Look, yes, he's got serious talent. But he's a complete jerk with an inflated sense of ego and he just mocks people for no reason at all. I mean, hating Diana? What? The girl is like a slice of pie, for crying out loud. If you want to hate someone go with Zulema or Emmett (although, I guess he does already hate Emmett). Anyway, I just want him to shut the hell up.

One more thing, Marla. I am so glad to see her go. She was dead weight but I seriously could not understand all of her complaints about Diana's design. What did you come up with Copycat Marla? Huh? Yeah, thar's what I thought. Bye bye!

Wow, this post makes me sound all angry and aggressive but I'm not. I just think that there are people in this world who take themselves a bit too seriously. Santino, of the bad, Pirate haired Santino's, I am looking at you.

All things Gilmore

So, last night was the fabulous return of Gilmore Girls. I must do the breakdown...

The Great:

Rory at the therapist's office. I was laughing out loud. Do I have to give up coffee? Hee!

The whole Luke/Kirk interaction at the begining. Luke and Kirk as lovers...eww! (I mean, have you seen ShirtlessKirk?) and hee!

The look on Luke's face when he saw April's website. AWW!

Paris. Paris and Doyle fighting. Bwahahahahahaha!

MamaKim giving Lane alcohol!

Lane losing her shit. More Lane next week; get the band back together and get Lane back in her apartment with the boys.

The Good:

I liked the Anna/Luke interaction. She seems like someone Luke would date and very not Nicole like.

Logan...I know people really hate him but I have always kind of liked him. He loves Rory. These two will make up; I just know it.

The Bad:

Shut up, Sookie. Luke has a right to say something about his wedding.

Lorelai's wedding dress...just no. The dress was pretty but it made her look fat. Lauren Graham is not fat.

Overall, a good return. I am scared and sad about next week when Lor finally finds out about April. What will happen?

In other Gilmore news, I watched most of possibly the worst movie ever made. It's called Intent to Kill starring Scott Patterson (aka Luke) and Tracy Lords. Luke plays this Jersey(?) cop who dates Tracy Lords, also a cop, and he cheats on her a lot but they are trying to bust some Columbian drug lords. Needless to say, the best thing about this "movie" is that you get to see Luke shirtless several times and in wife beaters a couple of times. Otherwise this was the biggest waste of time. Though, I did figure out that Scott got tatted up after this movie as his shoulder tattoo is not shown in this film. So, I suggest not watching this "movie;" I should have watched an episode of Buffy instead.

Music and NYC

I have been gone for a while, haven't I? Sorry. I didn't mean to be; it's just that life happened and such. You all know how that goes.

Anyway, NYC was awesome for the most part. I got to see lots of really cool things and see some great friends. But mostly, I don't really want to write about the trip itself because while it was great and fab; it was also not great and not fab. If I wrote all the things I really thought and felt it would probably hurt someone (some of you know the story and some of you will hear all about it in a few weeks) and so I will just say that my love affair with NYC has only just begun. I plan on a return trip sometime this summer. Anyone who I've traveled with before can come along.

Mostly, I want to talk about two cds that I have been listening to a lot these days. Ryan Adams' cd Gold was my NYC soundtrack. I listened to it for days before leaving and I listened on the subways of NYC and I am listening to it right now. I don't know why this disc makes me think of NYC. Maybe it's because of the Felicity connection (my love of Felicity knows few boundaries); maybe it's the fact that there is a song called New York, New York on the cd; maybe it's the fact that it was released on Sept. 11 (which I only recently found out). I don't know why it is but there are some seriously beautiful songs on this disc. If you haven't heard it and want to give it a try, call me and I will fix you up. If I was forced to pick my favorite songs on the disc, I would choose La Cienga Just Smiled; Gonna Make You Love Me; Somehow, Someday and New York, New York. Anyway, I just loved Ryan Adams. I don't care if he is a pompous, asshole in real life; he makes good music.

The other cd that has taken over my life is Sufjan Steven's Illinois. Being a native Illini, I can only love a cd that has a song called Decatur (that's the city where we had many a track meet). Plus, he totally gives props to Squater's hometown in Jacksonville. I think the only thing that could have made this cd better is if he'd written a song about the cougar that used to live on SIUE's campus. I remember visiting the cougar when I was little. Anyway, there are some seriously great songs on this disc too. Check out the songs Chicago, John Wayne Gacy Jr., and Casimir Pulaski Day.

Happy Listening.
